The Massachusetts baseball team’s weekend series against St. Bonaventure set for this weekend will endure a series of schedule changes due to rain in Friday’s weather forecast.

Friday’s game, scheduled to 3 p.m. at Earl Lorden Field, has been moved to Saturday at 1 p.m. for the first leg of a doubleheader header against the Bonnies.

The final contest of the three-game set scheduled for noon remains the same.

The Minutemen are coming off a 11-6 win over Boston College over Boston College in the Beanpot semifinal on Wednesday at Lorden Field.

Former UMass football quarterback Kellen Pagel, who sat out the entire 2012 football season, is on the 2013 UMass baseball roster.

According to the roster, Pagel will play at outfield as No. 30.

Pagel, a redshirt junior, transferred from Bowling Green to UMass in 2011, when he played in eight games at quarterback, racking up 1,725 passing yards and 9 touchdowns to 9 interceptions.

Pagel was in the running to be the Minutemen’s starting quarterback in their inaugural season in the Football Bowl Subdivision, but he missed the entire year with post-concussion symptoms.

Last month, it was reported that he would likely be done playing football. Head coach Charley Molnar told the Daily Hampshire Gazette that “it doesn’t look like being on the field is the best option for him.”

Pagel, a native of Stongsville, Ohio, played baseball in high school as an infielder at Strongsville High School, according to his MAXpreps profile.
